Registration for the 2017 PDL Tryouts are open!

Miami-FLA. – The FC Miami City will conduct open Men’s tryouts for the club’s Premier Development team in January 2017.

The PDL roster of the FC Miami City will take shape after January’s open tryouts.

As the FC Miami City is receiving overwhelming amount of on-line applications, and we urge all players to come early to reserve a spot for trial.

Because the tryouts have limited spaces available, the registration will be proceed on a first come first serve basis.

About the FC Miami City PDL open Tryouts:

  • College players are more than welcome to tryout as they will not lose their college eligibility,
  • Prospective players must be at least 17 years old with no upper age limit to participate,
  • Trials will be used to select players for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.

The open tryouts are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

Tryouts Format Players will have two-days to impress our coaches and scouts.
Only the players picked on Saturday will be invited on Sunday.

About the FC Miami City
The FC Miami City is Miami’s Official Soccer team. We have been a franchise of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) and currently play in the Premier Development League (PDL) for 3 years
The FC Miami City Men’s Team has featured many star athletes over the past years. Former players including former French National Team members Sidney Govou and Cameroon National player Marcel Mahouvé.
Notable players such as Bryan Arguez, David Santamaria, Hugo Leroux, Victor Nirrenold, Jonny Campbell, Ryan Parrado, Ezequiel Zaldua among the others.

About the PDL
The proven developmental leader in North American soccer’s evolving tiered structure, the 2016 PDL season featured 67 teams within four conferences throughout the United States and Canada. Twelve of the PDL’s current members are owned and operated by a Major League Soccer or United Soccer League club. The PDL has proven to be an important stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world, with 70 percent of all MLS draftees having PDL experience. The PDL provides elite collegiate players the opportunity to taste a higher level of competition while maintaining their eligibility. In addition to league play, PDL teams compete in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as well as various exhibitions.
