After wining the NCAA tournament last season with FIU and playing with the FC Miami City this summer in the USL Premier Development League, Hezel is the second FC Miami City player in the past two years to be named by C-USA & NCAA (after Jonathan Remond last year).
“Having our player recognized is an honor for our team. We know how many great players are in the College soccer leagues, especially on the defensive side of the field.” said GM Youri Vaisse.
Marvin is an unbelievable athlete for his size and he is hard to be moved out from the defensive line. Hopefully he will keep going to poses some problems for the strikers around the league that he will compete in.
Remember that he has been named by the PDL in the top prospect season list in the 2016 campaign.
“Any time you get a preseason honor like this it’s a big deal, and Marvin deserves it.” according to head coach Wagneau Eloi”
Hezel enters his last season at Florida International University (FIU) as a Senior. No one know at this point what he will be doing next year but he still have in mind to play pro either here in the U.S. or in Europe.
“It’s a big honor,” said Hezel. “I feel like I just go out there and hustle, and try to play as hard as I can on every play. When you finally have the recognition your deserve, throughout the college conference league, C-USA tournament or even better in the USL Premier Development League, it is a big step for me and for my future.” added Hezel.
