The 2026 USL W League season will go down as one of the most memorable in FC Miami City’s history.
An undefeated regular season, a Southeast Division Championship, and a trip to the second round of the USL W League Playoffs highlighted a summer filled with growth, determination, and unforgettable moments. What made this team memorable wasn’t just what they accomplished on the field, but the way they came together throughout the summer. Players from different backgrounds quickly became a close-knit group, creating a culture built on trust, hard work, and a shared passion for representing FC Miami City.
From the opening day of preseason to the final whistle of the playoffs, the players represented FC Miami City with professionalism, commitment, and a genuine desire to compete for one another.
Bringing Together Talent from Around the World
One of the defining strengths of this year’s squad was the quality and diversity of its roster.
The team brought together collegiate athletes, experienced players, and international talent from a variety of football backgrounds. While many of the players had never shared the field before arriving in Miami, they quickly formed a close-knit group whose chemistry became one of the team’s biggest strengths throughout the season.
The 2026 campaign also showcased FC Miami City’s commitment to player development through the PSG Academy pathway. Several academy players from PSG Academy Miami earned valuable minutes throughout the summer, while a few players from PSG Academy British Columbia joined the squad and made important contributions during the club’s historic season.
Training and competing alongside experienced collegiate and international players provided these young athletes with an invaluable opportunity to continue their development in one of North America’s top pre-professional leagues.
An Undefeated Regular Season
From the opening match, FC Miami City established itself as one of the strongest teams in the Southeast Division.
The squad remained undefeated throughout the regular season, consistently finding ways to earn results through disciplined defending, attacking quality, and an unwavering belief in one another. Whether playing at home or on the road, the players embraced every challenge and continued to grow with each match.
That consistency earned FC Miami City the USL W League Southeast Division Championship, securing a place in the postseason and marking another milestone for the Women’s program.
For Head Coach Rayan Aissani, bringing together a roster with so many different backgrounds became one of the team’s greatest strengths.
From the beginning, the vision was to build a team of players from different countries, backgrounds, and football cultures, united by one identity. Before recruiting talented footballers, I wanted to recruit great people. Character came first, and that chemistry became one of our biggest strengths throughout the season.
The players fully embraced our style of football and trusted the process from day one. Finishing the season undefeated and winning the division was the result of their commitment, discipline, and belief in what we were building. They represented FC Miami City with class, professionalism, and a clear identity every time they stepped onto the pitch.

A Playoff Run to Remember
After an undefeated regular season and a Southeast Division title, FC Miami City traveled to North Carolina for the USL W League Playoffs.
The team opened the postseason with an impressive victory over the Charlotte Eagles, extending an already remarkable campaign and earning a place in the second round. It was another complete team performance and a reflection of the confidence and togetherness that had defined the group all summer long.
The playoff journey continued in North Carolina with a second-round matchup against Asheville FC. Facing one of the league’s top teams, the players battled until the final whistle in what proved to be the final match of an unforgettable season.
Although the playoff run came to an end, it did little to overshadow everything this team accomplished. An undefeated regular season, a Southeast Division Championship, a playoff victory over the Charlotte Eagles, and a run to the second round of the USL W League Playoffs are achievements that reflect the hard work and dedication shown by the players and coaching staff from the very beginning.
Associate Head Coach Nassim saw that growth firsthand throughout the season, particularly in the way the team came together and the opportunities created for younger players.
Watching this team grow over the course of the season was incredibly rewarding. From the first day of preseason to the final match, the players embraced every challenge and continued to push each other to improve. Seeing academy players develop alongside experienced collegiate and international players was especially rewarding, and the way this group came together as one team is something I’ll always remember. They deserve all the recognition for the season they put together.
